Rostov-Na-Donu Flag

Rostov-Na-Donu flag The law on a flag was accepted on October 10, 1996. The flag of the Rostov area — represents a rectangular panel from three isometric horizontal strips: top — dark blue, average — yellow and bottom — scarlet colour. Such flag was developed still ataman (cossack chieftain) Krasnov in 1918. Each colour symbolized the following: dark blue — colour of Don’s cossack, yellow — Kalmyks, which were included into structure of Area of Don Forces (Voisko Donskoe), red — nonresident inhabitants. In 1996 the Krasnov flag was complemented by a white strip located vertically lengthways staff. On the size it makes 1/5 parts of width of a panel.
